Event Details
A Four course delectable dinner – each dish is paired to an award winning wine chosen by Gerda as Cape Wine Master. The food is Bistro style with a twist from locally sourced fresh ingredients and presented beautifully and stylish. The food and wine pairing course are explained and presented with great charm which creates an air of comfort in the cellar such that diners can relax, engage, and be enlightened while having a fabulous time.
Appetizer
Chicken liver paté with plum jelly. Served with MCC sparkling wine on arrival
Starters
Sautéed calamari baby tubes with Chorizo salad, rocket, tomato and chickpeas. Served with unwooded chardonnay white wine and white Mediterranean style blend.
Main Dish
Beef and sage medallions with a hazelnut crust. Sweet potatoe chips, Served with a merlot red wine and Bordeaux style red blend
Dessert
Pear Belle Heléne (Pears poached in vanilla sauce dipped in chocolate sauce). Served with a dessert wine
